Nathanael says,

"Mom, I'm scared."

Me: "What are you scared of?"

Nathanael: "The scaredness of DOOOOM."

Me: "What is that?"

Nathanael: "It's the sound that crickets make."

A few minutes later, he walks up to me again: "It's the scaredness of all scareds."
