Just remembered....

Getting criticized for having a lot of children isn't by any means a new thing.

My parents say they used to respond to the shock and awe (pregnant with number SEVEN? In ten years?!!!) with, "Well, we were specially chosen by the government to be part of a special program to create more geniuses. They asked us specifically to have a lot of babies."

p.s. - I always liked the idea of having a large family too. I thought 10 was a cool number.

Your parents are cool. My parents had 7 too, and got flack from 6 up (not counting Mom's OB who couldn't believe she kept coming in for more long before #6). We got the "don't you guys use birth control?" question at baby #1 because we had him nine months after we were married. I'm bracing myself for some flack if we succeed in having 3 (David just turned fifty). I love that you're laying it all out for everybody right from the beginning. Congratulations by the way!!
